Nine research notes from seven publishers: Dell and Palo Alto beat, MongoDB misses the buy-side bar, and a stack of sell-side rating changes

On 2026-09-01 the fourteen paid research publishers tracked here published nine pieces. Two were earnings reactions (TMT Breakout on Dell, Palo Alto Networks and MongoDB), two were deep dives on AI optical interconnect (FundaAI on Marvell, Damnang on the AI infrastructure stack), one was a stock addition (AlphaPick added PBF Energy to its portfolio), one was a macro liquidity update (Capital Wars), one covered Korea's sovereign AI build-out (SemiAnalysis), and one was a trading recap (James Bulltard). Every statement below is attributed to the publisher that made it, with the publisher's own numbers. Quant Data did not verify these numbers and takes no view on them; where a ticker has a max pain page on this site, the settled options positioning for the same date is shown alongside.

"Points extracted" counts the discrete claims (numbers, theses, risks, catalysts, falsification points) pulled from each piece during ingestion. It measures how much a piece asserts, not how good it is.

What each piece said

TMT Breakout · DELL — TMTB EOD Wrap; DELL Palo Alto (PANW) MongoDB (MDB) First takes

Dell raised full-year EPS guidance and guided AI server revenue to $74B, above what TMT Breakout describes as a $70B buy-side bar; shares closed up about 10%. Palo Alto Networks reported next-generation security ARR up 63% year over year against a 59-60% guide. MongoDB reported Atlas cloud growth of 29%, below the roughly 30% the buy side wanted, and fell about 13%. TMT Breakout also notes futures pricing a roughly 70% probability of a September rate hike.

TMT Breakout — TMTB Morning Wrap

A pre-market roundup: QQQ down about 1%, an Anthropic cloud-compute agreement with Nvidia-backed Lambda that TMT Breakout puts at $35B, OpenAI's advertising business reaching a $1B run-rate in 200 days, a JPMorgan note warning that Asia-Pacific data-center debt supply could widen credit spreads, and a batch of sell-side rating changes listed in the statements table below.

FundaAI · SNOW — Preview|SNOW 2Q26: Cortex Code Continues to Drive Strong Growth

An earnings preview built on channel checks with four US and one European Snowflake partner. FundaAI forecasts fiscal 2Q26 revenue growth of 35% year over year, four points above guidance, driven by the Cortex Code coding agent, whose customer penetration the partners put at 45%, up from 25% a quarter earlier. FundaAI flags that Cortex Code carries a gross margin of roughly 52-55% against 70-75% for Snowflake overall.

FundaAI · MRVL — Deep|Optics: Scale-In Moves Optics Inside the Tray, and the Bandwidth Opportunity Could 10x Scale-Up

A deep dive arguing that optical interconnect is moving from between racks to inside the server tray, toward the link between processor and memory. FundaAI cites Nvidia's $2B investments in each of Lumentum and Coherent, Marvell's roughly $3.25B purchase of Celestial AI, and a Google-Marvell warrant structure with a theoretical revenue ceiling of $120B. The piece deliberately gives no dollar market size, saying per-lane pricing has not formed.

Damnang — The AI Investment Map: From Tokens to Megawatts

A framework piece describing AI infrastructure as six stacked bottlenecks rather than a relay, and arguing that scarcity by itself is not an investment case until it passes tests for supply response time, qualified-supplier set, substitution paths and contract structure. Damnang cites combined 2026 hyperscaler capex above $700B and large-transformer lead times stretching from about 140 weeks in 2023 to more than 160 weeks in 2026. The piece names no buy or sell ratings.

SemiAnalysis · 000660.KS — Korea’s Trillion-Dollar Sovereign AI Investment

SemiAnalysis covers Korea's announced $919B data-center program (8.4 GW by 2029, 18.4 GW by 2035) and its national AI model tournament, and reports that Nvidia is expected to receive markedly cheaper 2027 HBM4 pricing from SK Hynix (about +70% year over year) than from Samsung (+98%) or Micron (+89%). SemiAnalysis frames the discount as a cost to SK Hynix's own margins.

AlphaPick · PBF — Stock Buy: High-Octane Earnings At A Discount

Seeking Alpha's quantitative team added refiner PBF Energy to its Alpha Picks portfolio, citing a Q2 adjusted EPS of $6.22, ten upward and zero downward earnings revisions in 90 days, and a trailing P/E it puts 62% below the energy sector median. The note gives no price target.

Capital Wars — Global Liquidity Watch: Weekly Update

Capital Wars puts global liquidity at $194.9 trillion with a three-month annualized growth rate of 1.8% and its shadow monetary base at $109.9 trillion, shrinking at an annualized 1.1%. It labels the current phase 'speculation': high level, stalled momentum, with the MOVE bond-volatility index at 70.

James Bulltard — 9/1/26 Recap

A personal trading diary. The author notes SPY's first close below its 21-day exponential moving average in about a month, records closing out an Amazon position, and describes several unusual options prints (Nebius, CF Industries, Argan) with his own reading of them. The note is a trading log, not research, and its attributions of prints to informed buyers are the author's opinion.

Directional statements on the record

Each row is a dated fact: a named source expressed a direction on a named ticker. Where a publisher was relaying a broker's rating change, the originating voice is in the "via" column. None of this is a recommendation from Quant Data.

What would prove them wrong

Several publishers name the observation that would falsify their own view. Those are the most useful sentences in any research note, so they are collected here.

Common questions

What did paid research publishers publish on 2026-09-01?

9 pieces from 7 of the publishers tracked by Quant Data: AlphaPick, Capital Wars, Damnang, FundaAI, James Bulltard, SemiAnalysis, TMT Breakout. Nine research notes from seven publishers: Dell and Palo Alto beat, MongoDB misses the buy-side bar, and a stack of sell-side rating changes.

Are these Quant Data’s numbers?

No. Every figure on this page is attributed to the publisher that stated it and is reproduced as stated. Quant Data did not verify them. The only Quant Data numbers on the page are the counts of pieces and statements, and the settled options positioning shown for tickers that have a max pain page on this site.

Is a "bullish" entry in the statements table a recommendation?

No. The table records that a named source expressed a direction on a named ticker on a dated day, the way a clippings file would. It is not a signal and not advice. It exists so that the statements can be checked against what prices did afterwards.

Sources: paid research publishers accessed through the GeoScope aggregator under a licence that permits redistribution.
